• Alarm ONLY on ferromagnetic objects which can become projectiles and ignore non-ferromagnetic objects (such as aluminum titanium brass etc.)
• Increase safety in every MRI facility by reducing the risk of injuries and death from ferromagnetic projectiles
• Prevent magnet quenches and ramp downs due to ferromagnetic projectiles
• Reduce operating cost by increasing patient throughput
• Be a “passive device” emitting no RF (radio frequency) no EM (electromagnetic) fields. Therefore FerrAlert will not interfere with any other devices or the MRI process
