Powerful handheld magnet for magnetic resonance screening/sites. Screen patients, devices, and implants for possible magnetic properties prior to entering MRI environment. This rare-earth magnet permits loss of strength at an extremely slow rate of 1% every 100 years. Ball-bearing mounts make it easy to remove the magnet should it become attached to large magnetic objects, such as oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, etc. The bright red coloring indicates clearly the magnet is not MR safe and should not be brought into the MR magnet room. Foam-padded carrying and storage case included. Not for use in the MRI room.
